Home to the richest tin mines in the world, Kinta Valley was once a prosperous region dubbed as the “Pioneer of Malaysia’s Modern Development”. Key to its prosperity was a railway branch that was almost entirely forgotten after the collapse of the tin industry in the 1980s.

Tracing the lost tracks of the FMSR Ipoh – Tronoh branch line, we pass through abandoned sites, dilapidated towns, and tin mining lakes, following locals from all walks of life through its 6 stations to connect the dots of a neglected past, and figure out what the future holds.

The project is still ongoing, if you have any related information or old photos, do please reach out to us!
