Gamblin Oil Painting 101: Tools, Techniques, Color & More!

Join artist and product expert Mary Tevlin, as she gives us an in-depth tour of ‪@GamblinArtist‬ Oil Paints. In this casual Virtual Workshop, we will discover, select, and master the materials that are best suited to each of our own artistic intentions. Some topics of discussion will include Gamblin’s offering of reclaimed colors, radiant series, and chromatic black, as well as some historical facts about Gamblin and the making of their paints and artist materials. This event will review and demonstrate the items from the Gamblin Oil Painting Must Haves Set, which boasts having everything you need to start oil painting, clean-up, and varnish your finished work! We will also show how one can use Gamblin Oil Ground to prepare surfaces or cover up old paintings to re-use them. Mary will also teach us how to build our own personal palette of colors through simple color mixing practices, while sharing some fascinating information about how some of the oil colors are crafted.
