We're back! Even after being shot at, we still loved our overall Van Life experience in San Diego with free boondocking by the beach at Mission Bay Park. We wanted to share what we learned from this scary experience, why we are continuing our Van Life journey, and the positive experience we had in San Diego.

Be aware that there is a lot of controversy around Van Lifers living in San Diego right now so do your research to make sure you are staying in a safe place that won't be disturbing others. We also heard that people have been getting parking tickets for overnight parking at Mission Bay Park after we left, so keep that in mind before you decided to try camping there.
