From Wastes to Wealth, the Great initiative of the Chnong Tuber Kmaishnong

Tuber Kmaishnong is one of the oldest village in Jaiñtia Hills District, situated about 16.5Km from Jowai and 15Kms from the East Jaiñtia Hills District’s headquarter, Khliehriat.
The Dorbar Chnong Tuber Kmaishnong has its main aims & objectives to convert the village into one of the Cleanest Village in the State. Since time immortal, the village has its historical background in preserving the environment especially the forest within it. It has one Sacred Forest called ‘Ka Khlō Blai’, u Tep Kyndait, one of the follower of u Kiang Nangbah, the freedom fighter was born in this village.
