Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 (Japan) Nintendo Cup '98

Japanese title: ポケモンスタジアム２ ニンテンドウカップ '98

Getting the Japanese games set up was a massive hassle. Having a team set up like this was even worse. Project 64 saves "Pokemon Stadium 2" for both the JP Stadium 2, and the USA Stadium 2. As a result, I lost my USA Stadium 2 savefile, and my stash of thousands of items. (TogamiBot stuff is fine, I had them in a GBC game.)

This is the Nintendo Cup '98, a set of matches that the international versions of Stadium 1 (Japan's Stadium 2) lack. It is based on the national tourney held in Japan all the way back in 1998.

I did use a few moves you cannot normally get in gen 1, but can be obtained by TM/Tutor in gen 2, and then sending back to gen 1. The best example of this is tripunch Alakazam.


(And no, I do not speak Japanese. I know people who do, and I Google key words enough to throw this together.)
