My New GMade GS02F BOM TC Went Crunch!

Описание к видео My New GMade GS02F BOM TC Went Crunch!

The poor old GMade BOM TC 1/10 RC Crawler has fallen victim to the single weak point of the whole rig, as identified in my review last week. I wasn't being particularly hard on it - indeed, the front diff let go while the rig was on its roof and I was trying to get it back on its wheels- on short grass!

Breakages happen, but diffs usually only tend to let go if their clearances aren't gapped properly or if you're driving without mechanical sympathy. I'm not hard on my gear but it certainly does get driven to the limit of its intended design, I'd say. In this case, the design was not up to the task of keeping the whole assembly together under stress.

I don't know if I'll replace with OEM gears again. Thinking about replacing the entire front axle with something else that's a little more hardy. I'll let you know what I end up doing there.

For now, this is a PSA for anyone who liked my BOM TC review video and is considering a purchase. Be aware this is a weak point of this rig. Also note that I was driving this with my competition hat on - I'd be driving the same at a nationals event - you guys get the gold standard treatment for my test videos! But this means the rigs will break sometimes if there's a weakness in their design, as evidenced here.
