How To Prune Sugar Apple Tree To Get More Flowers & Bigger Fruit

Hello everyone, In this video, we will learn how to prune sugar apple trees to invigorate more flowers so I can hand pollinate for more fruit. I have already harvested one crop of sugar apples from this tree - it has stopped producing flowers and now only makes leaves - doing this solution pruning will make the sugar apple tree grow more flowers and fruits. This also strengthens the tree overall.

Important things to keep in mind when pruning
always think about where the fruit will hang, wherever you cut on the branch flowers will emerge so make sure it is a thick branch.
make sure the sugar apples lose the leaves, it sounds a bit harsh but this ensures that the sugar apple will be forced to push new growth and thus more flower set.
make sure you water your sugar apples well during this process of re-growing their leaves and flowers. Annonas in general love water so during their birthing stage of flowers it is best to supply water almost daily (Here in Florida we are in the rainy season so it helps out).
