Will Carr - Secrets of Kinetic Sculpture

Kinetic wind sculpture is a tricky game to get right. Play and the study of fluid dynamics have been seminal in my journey of learning about kinetic energy and the natural forces of the wind. I am forever pushing my abilities and gaining greater understanding to encourage my sculptures to move in ever changing forms. I have been making kinetic sculptures since 2015 and this video helps show the variety of problems I come across in the production of these pieces, from how I watch models of the sculptures in different wind conditions to the problems of high precision production. I hope it gives you an insight into the work which is behind every piece.
