I think Lollar just released my new favorite pickups!? The new Lollar Deluxe Foil pickups deliver tons of clarity and sparkle with incredible touch sensitivity that works great for clean ambient guitar, dynamic blues and rock guitar, and more! I’ve tried a bunch of different styles of pickups over the years, but this is my first true foray into gold foils, and I gotta say - I get it. There’s a beautiful top-end presence that comes through in these pickups, with tons of touch-sensitivity and responsiveness to your playing.

The 4-wire configuration gives you the option to get single coil sounds as well as humbucker tones, and that combination delivers incredible versatility. The single coil sounds are clear and bright without being thin, while the humbucker sounds are rich and full, with a unique bloom to the top end that sometimes gets overly compressed in humbuckers. For clean to overdriven, these take whatever you throw at them.
