A potentially dangerous hydrogen gas leak has forced NASA to scrub Saturday's launch of Space Shuttle Endeavor and it's not clear when it will be able to go up again.

This was way beyond the point where we even wanted to talk about continuing. It was just very similar with two flows ago. We just weren't comfortable at all with pressing on.
NASA halted the countdown shortly after midnight.
Hydrogen is a volatile gas and they say this leak is similar to one they ran into in March, which they were able to work around at the time.
However they also say they're not sure what caused the leak back then or the one now.

We measured how that seal fits. We looked at it under a microscope, we looked at it under chyro conditions, we didn't really find anything that tells us what common cause is, but obviously something is going on.
Endeavor and its crew are supposed to deliver the final segment of a huge space station lab, along with some spare parts and more than 600 pounds of food to the International Space station.
NASA says if it can't launch by next weekend it will have to wait until July to try again.
