DIY French Macarons - July 4th Recipe | SoCraftastic

I finally made macarons!! ((Not to be confused with macaroons.)) So, get ready for the 4th of July - or any occasion - in today's episode of Crafty Friday! I N G R E D I E N T S :
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup almond flour
¼ cup white sugar
3 Egg Whites (Room Temp.)
A pinch of salt
Food coloring (any color)

Powdered sugar is also known as confectioners sugar. The white sugar is the same thing as granulated sugar.

I purchased all of my ingredients from Target, but you can find them at many places! ((If you can't find almond flour you can grind almonds.))

B U T T E R - C R E A M - F R O S T I N G
1 stick of butter
1 cup powdered sugar
Candy flavoring or fresh fruit juice for flavor

S U P P L I E S :
2 Large mixing bowls
1 whisk + 1 spatula + 1 large spoon
A baking sheet (having multiple is helpful, though!)
Parchment paper (NOT wax paper)
A sifter (or strainer with small openings)
Handheld Electric Mixer
Frosting bags (Or sandwich bags to make your own)
Couplers (For the frosting bags)
Measuring cup
