Porsche’s biggest punt of the modern era is about to play out with the new-generation Macan that’s just launched in Australia. Namely, will buyers embrace Stuttgart’s biggest-selling nameplate now turned fully electric? And will they cop the significantly steeper price points.

Macan EV arrives Down Under in ‘4’ ($134,400) and Turbo ($184,400) guises that Chasing Cars contributor Iain Curry puts under the microscope right here. The pair will be joined by an entry (just) Macan variant ($128,400) and high-grade 4S ($149,300) in 2025.
