Retaining wall Stucco fence. How to smooth or trowel down the rear of keyed stucco.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Can you build a wood fence and then stucco it versus a concrete block wall. Of course, you can. There are many ways to add stucco to any wood fence.

If you build a stucco fence without Cinder or CMU Blocks, this video is for you.
Is using stucco for a wood-built fence faster and more cost-effective than a concrete block wall?

In this video, we show just one way to do it.
Which would you prefer? I have been asked many times whether a wooden fence can be stuccoed.
We are helping a neighbor, Stucco, with his new wooden fence.
He wanted a strong wall without having to use concrete blocks.

There are alternatives, such as what you see completed in this video.
We had some issues with our basecoat, meaning it was close to 100 degrees, and somehow we pissed off some of the bee colonies; when they swarm, we leave; when we're gone, the stucco sets it tough to steal trowel down.

The third coat was a LaHabra's Santa Barbera smooth mission finish.
This is just another way to build and or stucco a fence.

Can you stucco a chain-link fence? Absolutely.
Chain link fences are the easiest to convert into stucco without worrying about wood rot. You would first tie 3.4 stucco mesh netting to the chain link, then apply the stucco to the small mesh holes, precisely like in the video.

Note: The standard link fence metal opening is much too large for the stucco to adhere to; hence, this is why one would add the 27-in x 97-in Galvanized Steel Stucco Netting into the metal link fence already in place, then apply stucco on both sides, now you would have a stucco fence that would last a lifetime.

Note also: the mesh stucco netting usually costs just under ten dollars a sheet.
The sheets are about 3 feet by 8 feet. They are sold at HD, Lowes, or Google plastering yards near me. As I used in the videos, purchasing these sheets or attaching rib lath is even stronger but only sold at plastering material yards.

We used Eisenwall hydraulic cement plaster. We mixed this cement plaster with three times the sand to every part of the cement plaster.

Like all same-day stuccos, don't over mix; three to five minutes max.
