Harpsichord demonstration and lecture

Описание к видео Harpsichord demonstration and lecture

Steve Christie from Vintage Keys Studio talks about our John Reynolds Catch Harpsichord, built in 1942 in the UK.

It has two choirs of strings (leather plectra and quills) and a buff stop. These are all controlled by three foot pedals.

Being a harpsichord, there is no touch sensitivity with the keys so all key strikes will be of the same velocity due to the action of the plucking instrument.
