IMMIGRATION: "FIXED MARRIAGE" BAN DOES NOT APPLY TO STEPCHILDREN

If a person is ever caught in a "fixed marriage," they are banned for life from ever having another petition approved. But what if the US citizen also petitioned the person's children (the petitioner’s stepchildren)? Are the children also subject to that lifetime ban?
