Modern science teaches people from childhood that the Universe was created at a single point in space and at a single point in time in what has become known as the Big Bang. However, the early Universe is far more complicated than this description. Space and Time itself did not simply begin and expand from a singularity 13.8 billion years ago, but instead have evolved in a more complex way. Simple assumptions of the hot Big Bang model give rise to numerous problems which contradict modern experiments and astronomical observations.

This video discusses three such problems and uses logic and data from the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) to explain how the Big Bang Theory has had to be changed and improved overtime to ensure it can faithfully solve these glaring issues and reproduce observations. The key comes in the form of a mysterious energy source known within inflation as well as the prediction of a Grand Unified Fundamental Force (GUTs).
