HOLDERNESS AND COASTAL EROSION | Coasts Revision Series #8 | ALevel Geography - Edexcel, AQA, OCR

In today's video we are learning how and why rates of coastal erosion can vary, plus the problem is that this can cause. We will focus on the case study of the Holderness Coast, looking at why erosion is such a problem at Holderness; taking into account geology, fetch, weather systems, destructive waves, longshore drift and beach material, sub aerial processes and coastal erosion, as well as the influences of human actions and coastal retreat. We will also explore the impact that coastal management has had at the Holderness Coast, the economic and social losses faced at Holderness and the impact that the East Riding Coastal Change Fund has had on then area.
