Punjab Police has successfully dismantled a terror module with the arrest of three suspects allegedly involved in a recent explosion near a closed police post in Amritsar.

The arrests were made on February 3, and officials have recovered a cache of weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, two pistols, and multiple cartridges.

The arrested individuals, identified as Lovepreet Singh, Buta Singh, and Karandeep Singh—residents of Amritsar Rural—are suspected of having links with a Dubai-based operative who provided them with financial and logistical support.

Following their arrest, the trio attempted to escape when one of them snatched a pistol from a police officer and opened fire.

In retaliatory action, two of the accused sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital.

This terror module was being operated by individuals from abroad, including a key suspect, Happy Passia.
