250 grams of Sabudana (sago)
250 grams of Potatoes
Tomatoes (ground into a fine paste)
4 Green Chilies (adjust to taste)
Ginger (small pieces)
1.5 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 tsp White Sesame Seeds
Water (for cooking)
📝 Detailed Method:
1. **Soak the Sabudana**: Soak 250 grams of sabudana overnight.
2. **Prepare Potatoes**: In the morning, boil and grate 250 grams of potatoes. Wash the grated potatoes to remove excess starch.
3. **Grind the Sabudana**: Grind the soaked sabudana in a mixer until fine.
4. **Mix Ingredients**: In a cooker, add 2 bowls of water, then gradually mix in the sabudana powder while stirring to avoid lumps.
5. **Combine**: Add the grated potatoes and the ground tomato paste to the mixture. Stir well.
6. **Cook**: Close the lid and cook for one whistle.
7. **Spice it Up**: After cooking, add cumin seeds, black pepper, chili powder, and the ginger-chili paste. Mix well.
8. **Shape the Chakari**: Use a piping bag or a buttermilk bag to shape the chakari.
9. **Fry**: Heat oil and fry the chakari until golden brown.
