Solo Travel Vlog in London | My Stay at The London EDITION Hotel + City Exploration + Food StopsThis has certainly been the year of "why not?" for me. I started this channel because I've always wanted a safe space to create and tell stories from my POV. It has definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone to not only seek opportunities to pick up the camera, but to also actually go for it.

I've always heard about solo travel adventures and have been interested to embark on a trip abroad alone, so in the spirit of "why not?" and because of this channel which provides and opportunity and outlet to document the experience, I went for it.

I've been to London a few times before and never felt like safety was a huge concern so I thought I'd take my first solo adventure back to a city where I feel comfortable and inspired. On this trip I simply took my time. There were no plans other than a couple of dinner reservations - one of which you'll see in the video at Hide - and to explore.

My biggest takeaway from this trip is that life is short, so why not enjoy the little time we have by doing the things that bring us the most joy. For me, that's simply acting on an idea/thought/desire without thinking twice or waiting for "the right time" because tomorrow is not promised so why not enjoy today.

And with all of that:

Trip Highlights/Details

Hotel
@EditionHotels The London EDITION always a 10/10, 5-star stay! From the decor to the service to the location, it's truly a fantastic experience.

Food

Day 1
@DishoomLondon I got the Diwali Special. Don't know how long it'll be on the menu but it was amazing. So so good - 10/10

Day 2
Coffee at Jolene which was pretty good. Love the vibe, but the coffee was okay - 7/10
Dinner (not shown) at Tendril (a mostly vegan kitchen and bar) - I did the tasting menu which I think was a really good price for the amount of food you get to try. Everything was good but I got super full midway through. I kept eating though 😬🫣😆 - 8.5/10

Day 3
Breakfast and coffee at the hotel (Berners Tavern). This restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. I honestly never think about/remember the food because it's just so nice inside so it'll always be a 10/10 for me.
Midday drink at Cafe Leon Dore. I got a matcha. It was alright. Cool vibe though - 7/10
Dinner at Hide. Probably my favorite stop of the trip. Very cool/unique restaurant concept with three levels. All of which are on brand, but a different(ish) theme - if that makes sense. Anyway, I also did the vegetarian tasting menu which was also so so much food that I continued to eat despite being full. Overall, very interesting menu options. Beautiful presentation with better than okay, but not out of this world flavors - 8.8/10

Day 4
Coffee at Kaffine. Super close to the hotel, cool little shop, and amazing coffee. Probably in my top 5 for a flat white - 10/10
Breakfast @DishoomLondon again 😬 - it's just so good. Plus they have a lot of vegetarian options so it was an obvious choice and still a 10/10
Evening cocktails at Connaught Bar. An experience. A vibe. Loved it. 10/10
Dinner @FallowLondoncool place but wasn't quite ready to change the pace after leaving Connaught Bar so it was a little louder/busier than I was ready for, but still a nice place to pop in for a bite - 8.5/10
