The main purpose of NRI Day Celebration:-
This day (NRI Day) shows the contribution made by the overseas Indians in the development of India because they have not only brought laurels to India abroad through their works but have also made an important contribution in strengthening the Indian economy. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas would have been most special for them because people living outside the country illuminate the name of India even while living abroad. The main objective of this day is to recognize the contribution of overseas Indians in the development of India.

On this occasion, the Government of India usually organizes a three-day conference every year. This day is celebrated to inform the people of India about the achievements of non-resident brothers and to make the migrants aware of the expectations of the countrymen from them.
