Описание к видео Hollyhock and 100 years of Olive Hill History

Hannah Shaw presents Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock and 100 years of history of Olive Hill in Los Angeles. Her story of Hollyhock begins with oil heiress, philanthropist, activist, theatre producer, and friend of Frank Lloyd Wright, Aline Barnsdall, who bought the 3800-acre property with dreams of a theatre art center that included a cinema, artist apartments, and retail storefronts. The story continues with Barnsdall eventually gifting the property to the city. Hannah shares all the ways it continues to be used and celebrated by the arts commuinty to present day.
