Initial testing. Note how the boost capacitor creates enough of a spark to screw up the phone's mic when it goes in/out. The film capacitor is supposed to help suppress the spark. Doesn't really do much. Any oil on the contacts will give you a nice puff of smoke.

The boost cap gives the mech extra power during record change, then is disconnected during play, for smoother operation. This is contact "O" on the cam switch.

I have the S/P (Clamp arm) switch disconnected, or else the machine would reject immediately after going into play, thinking it was mis-loaded.
