Adam Brewer walks you through the integration between two Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave leading solutions: Microsoft Cloud App Security and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (formerly Microsoft Defender ATP).

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint can act as your discovery agent on client devices, helping Microsoft Cloud App Security to ingest your user behavior and understand what kinds of Shadow IT is happening in your environment. This discovery works even when devices are not connected to your corporate network.

Microsoft Cloud App Security can then be used to programmatically or manually choose applications that are unsanctioned for your organization. Finally, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint can block access to those unsanctioned apps.

Also included in this video is a quick demo of Web Content Filtering, another feature of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. This allows you to limit access to undesired categories of websites, like illegal, adult, gambling, etc.
