The president signed a new executive order aimed at addressing concerns from conservatives who claim banks are being weaponized against individuals for their political or religious beliefs. This move comes amid allegations likening the situation to social media censorship.

President Donald Trump has long expressed grievances about banks allegedly refusing to do business with conservatives.

"Many conservatives complain that the banks are not allowing them to do business within the bank, and that included a place called Bank of America," said Trump at a January event in Davos.

He further alleged that JPMorgan Chase had stopped banking with him.
