I was fortunate enough to call Ketton my childhood home and it remains a central part of my life. I wanted to make this short documentary to capture its beauty, share its history and address a number of challenges that the village faces in our modern world. I am interested in analogue media and thus I decided to film this entirely on Kodak Super 8 Cine-Film, generously funded by the Whitebread Trust, ensuring a physical archive and adding a vintage charm. Part of this process was a learning experience and getting used to film, as such some of the earliest footage I shot is a little... amateur. But regardless, I feel this piece captures the essence of our home and draws attention to what I feel is important about Ketton.
