Emirates has unveiled the very first Airbus A350 to join its fleet at an exclusive event in Dubai. Join me onboard the brand-new aircraft.

Emirates' new A350-900 will feature three cabin classes, accommodating 312 passengers (32 Business, 21 Premium Economy and 259 Economy seats). It offers high-speed Wi-Fi, 4k IFE, and electric window blinds. I tested seats in all cabins to share my thoughts.

During the delivery ceremony, I managed to interview Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline. He spoke passionately about why Emirates ordered the A350, the possibility of ordering A350-1000 and why there is no First Class in A350.

The airline plans to make its first scheduled commercial A350 flight to Edinburgh on 3 January 2025. In the months to follow, Bahrain, Muscat and Kuwait, Lyon, Bologna, Colombo, Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be joining the Emirates A350 network map.

Emirates has ordered a total of 65 A350-900s as part of the airline’s plans to support Dubai’s’ Economic Agenda, which aims to add 400 cities to Dubai’s foreign trade map over the next decade. The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join Emirates’ fleet since 2008.
