Moellendorff’s (Hundred Flower) Ratsnake Eggs!

8 years ago I attended my second ever reptile expo in Nampa, Idaho. I was talking with a breeder whom I now consider a mentor and we discussed some different ratsnake species. He told me about a book he had called Old World Ratsnakes and he brought it to show me on the second day of the expo. The thing I remember most was a picture of a Moellendorff’s ratsnake (aka hundred flower ratsnake) and I knew at that moment that working with them would be in my future. Four years later I got two males and a female and I raised them up. This is the reward! They’re very cantankerous and not at all friendly or even tolerant, but I love the little jerks.
