In the 1-and-done era, every elite high school basketball player was forced to play college basketball.

This caused a lot of programs to set themselves up as an 8 month resting spot before these elite athletes embarked on their NBA Career.

Some coaches completely embraced this model and won a national championship doing it (Kentucky).

Others gave it a lot of pushback and have remained mediocre the entire time (Indiana).

If you are a future NBA Player who wants to go to college, you need to do your due diligence and make sure that you are committing to a program that is going to help you for the rest of your life.

In this video, I break down the 3 major points that future NBA players should emphasize when they are choosing a university.

🤔 Who Am I?

If this is your first time here, Welcome To The Pond 🦆🦢. I’m a former Division I College Basketball Coach (VCU & Jacksonville) and I was the Director Of Recruiting & Advance Scouting at high school basketball powerhouse Montverde Academy. During that time I sent 6 Players to the NBA and 53 players Division I.

After years of working in grassroots, high school and college basketball, I wanted to take control of my own career and decided to be an entrepreneur. I studied music marketing and released 3 solo albums under my artist name “Dorian”. My 3rd album, “True Support”, charted #1 on iTunes and accumulated millions of streams. While I was learning about the music industry, I made videos educating other independent artists as well with many of them going viral across the 5 major social media platforms.

God has re-directed my path and has me focused on my original goal, to make the NBA. I aspire to be G League coach as the entry point for the NBA. My goal is for build patriarchs through the game of basketball.
