The Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti called for nationwide shut down on August 21. The shut down is to protest against Supreme Court's ruling that called for quota in quota. SC on August 1 allowed states to create sub-categories within the SCs and STs saying those who really need it should get priority in reservation. Emergency and medical services will remain functional. It will be business as usual for govt offices, banks, schools and colleges
