Ninja Gaiden (SNES) Playthrough

Описание к видео Ninja Gaiden (SNES) Playthrough

A playthrough of Ninja Gaiden as it appeared in Tecmo's 1995 Super Nintendo game, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was a cart that featured updated 16-bit ports of the three games in the NES Ninja Gaiden line-up.

Trilogy's version of NG1 (   • Ninja Gaiden (NES) Playthrough  ) was the third official release of the game, and it was the second 16-bit remake following Hudson's 1992 PC Engine version (   • Ninja Ryukenden (PC Engine) Playthrou...  ).

The original NES carts were no longer being sold in stores by 1995, and according to sales numbers, most people never had the opportunity to experience NG3 in its original form. A compilation cart featuring refreshed versions of all three games for a mere $59.99 was an appealing proposition for anyone who still cared to play NES platformers at the cusp of the 32-bit generation.

The graphics are slightly improved over the NES game's - there's a bit more color - but it looks pretty similar overall. The soundtrack didn't fare quite as well in the transition, unfortunately. The tunes are played back with cheesy trumpet and xylophone samples that end up sounding far worse than the simple square waves used in the original NES game. That being said, for as disappointing as the presentation is, the gameplay does accurately mirror the original's.

This isn't a bad way to play Ninja Gaiden, but I think that most would agree that you're better off sticking to the NES version.
