9 ABY, during the assault on Mount Tantiss...

Luke Skywalker and his friends have infiltrated the secret Mount Tantiss storehouse, followed closely behind by Talon Karrde and his lieutenant Mara Jade! Splitting up to cover more ground, Luke and Mara agree to engage the mad Jedi Master Joruus C'baoth while Han, Leia and Karrde destroy the Spaarti clone capsules. As the two Force sensitives approach the throne, the insane clone gloats, "You will not presume to give me commands, Jedi Skywalker! Save your strength for the trial that awaits you!" And Luke is struck dumb by the sight before him: himself!
