5 COMMON REJECTION REASONS for SCHENGEN VISA and HOW TO AVOID IT

Getting your visa application denied can be hearth breaking, even you already submitted everything, why they still denied you?

In this video, I will be mentioning the top 5 common reasons why the consul is denying your visa application and what remedies you can do in your end to correct this.

Here is some common reason why an applicant always gets denied.. and know how you can correct your mistakes.

Reason no. 2) Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided

-- You should submit a good cover letter that answers and explain :
Who will you travel with or visit?
What will you do in the Schengen zone?
When are you planning to travel?
Where will you stay during your trip?
Why do you want to travel?
How will you fund your stay?

Write everything in the cover letter in a personalized way for the embassy to understand your intention well. Make sure that your documents back up what you write in this cover letter.

Reason no.3) You have not provided sufficient means of subsistence,  for the duration of the intended stay or for the return to the country of origin or residence, or for a transit to a third country into which you are certain to be admitted, or you are not in a position to acquire such means lawfully.

--- It means that the consulate has found you being short of funds in your bank account.

If you are employed, show then your 3-month salary payslip and your 6 months to 1 year Bank balance. Also, show them your credit card statement if you have any.

If there is a sudden transfer of a vast sum just before applying for the visa, then there is a chance of visa rejection due to uncertainly of financial stability.

if your unemployed and don't have your own money, supporting documents that attest to a sponsor’s willingness and ability to cover your expenses.


Reason no.7) Proof of holding an adequate and valid travel medical insurance was not provided

--Choose a Schengen visa insurance policy, specifically designed for applicants to the scheme. This will ensure that the policy covers enough of the anticipated expenses, should an accident happen on your travels.


Reason no.8) The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable

-- Basically, whatever is your purpose of travel, you should be able to justify it with the right documents.

Let’s say you have mentioned tourism as your purpose of travel. That said, all your documents talk about visiting a family or a friend and no itinerary of tours!

Reason no.9) Your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained

-- Officials want to avoid people overstaying their visas and/or working without authorization.

You must provide evidence that you will be returning, and sometimes a return flight is not sufficient. You will have to demonstrate that your business is registered in your home country, that you own property, a land, if you have a deed of sale, assets, investment anything that is under your name.

Or if you are enrolled in school and have approval for your absence, and if you have kids who are going to school which is the reason for you to come back to the Philippines.
