A stage play written by Tony Roper about a group of 1950's Glasgow women washing their clothes in the public washhouse, the Steamie.
This is the TV production made for STV on Hogmanay 1988. Brilliant cast, brilliant play. My ma used to drag me to the Steamie in Govan when I was wee. Just love some of the auld Glesga patter, just decks me.
