In Part 27, we are going to show 404 page if any category URL does not exist. Suppose if the user types wrong category link then it will go to 404 page and we will also update the design of 404 page to make it more attractive.

1) Update products function :-

We need to update products function in ProductsController.php file to show 404 page in case Category URL does not exist.

2) Update 404 page design :-

We will update 404 page design and copy new design from 404.html file located at our e-shopper template folder.

We need to remove all content from current 404.blade.php file and add front design to it same like we did for index blade file earlier on and then copy the middle content from 404.html file and make required changes in it.

See in video, our 404 page is coming if any category is not correct.

In next video, we will add disable/enable kind of feature for our categories in admin panel. And we will not show anydisabled categories at front end and in case user tries to open its link by typing in address bar then 404 page will come like we have done for wrong category URL's. And after that we will also start working on detail page as well.
