3 Munros on The Ring of Steall

Описание к видео 3 Munros on The Ring of Steall

After an overnight camp in the van at the end of Glen Nevis we headed up the path from the lower falls car park. This is the main path up Stob Ban, however the path splits at the bealach and we took the left fork and headed up on to the Ring of Steall Ridge. After climbing An Gearanach in 1991, I decided to avoid climbing it again. We climbed over the demoted Munro, Sgor an lubhair and then up on to Am Bodach and onwards to Stob Coire a'chairn where we stopped for lunch. We retraced our steps but avoided ascending Am Bodach again and took the bypass path. Jura managed well on the Devil's Ridge and we made it to our final Munro, Sgurr a'Mhaim. The weather forecast was pretty accurate and after a claggy start we enjoyed fantastic views from the summits in the afternoon. A great wee adventure.

My videos are not intended to be an exact guide to any hill, mountain or low level walk that features in the video. I don’t cover every aspect of the route, terrain or difficulties.

Please refer to walkhighlands.co.uk or the book by the SMC, The Munros - Hillwalking Guide, for detailed walk descriptions.

Stay safe out there and enjoy! 😊
