This video explains how in recent years, the Cyprus Institute has been testing different techniques of green energy production and energy storage. One of its goals in this transition to green energy is to educate the whole ecosystem: politicians, producers and of course society, regarding the various modes of energy production and storage.

Photovoltaics is undoubtedly the dominant technology, but other technologies such as solar thermal are complementary, with their own advantages and disadvantages. The energy mix will have to include both technologies together with others (also non-solar) in order to complete the transition to a sustainable energy system.
