🔹 Closure request can be submitted through bank helpline, dedicated email, IVR, website link, mobile app, and more.

🔹 The card-issuer shall not insist on sending a closure request through post or any other means which may result in the delay of receipt of the request

🔹 If your closure request faces delays beyond 7 days, the card issuer has to compensate you ₹500 per day for the period of delay, provided there is no outstanding in the account..

🔹 Cards inactive for over a year can be closed after issuer notification, ensuring proactive management.
