As promised, here's the code we sometimes use in our child theme functions.php file to enable featured images and excerpts on pages (be careful, this can crash a site if done incorrectly):

// Enable excerpt support for pages
add_post_type_support( 'page', 'excerpt' );

// Enable featured image for pages
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails', array( 'post', 'page' ) );

Once you do this, you should be able to set a featured image and excerpt for pages by clicking the setting icon (gear icon at bottom left) when editing a page in the Elementor builder.
