Brett and BJ build the new Yokomo RS1.0 touring car kit in preparation to race at the Bendigo Classic. This is a reasonably priced race chassis perfect for beginners or those looking for a simple chassis to have lots of fun! In Part 1 they build the transmission and mount it to the chassis.

If you are enjoying a radio-controlled car for the first time, we recommend the speed category as it is easy to learn basic operations. The Rookie Speed ​​RS1.0 is based on a belt-driven 4WD touring car, and is attractive for its high basic performance and expandability for high-speed races.

The biggest feature of the machine is its high cornering performance. The double wishbone suspension supported by height-adjustable oil dampers ensures a secure grip on the road. Although it is a 4WD drive system that increases stability, the differentials placed on the front and rear axles provide high turning performance, allowing you to trace the desired driving line. The two-belt drive, with equal lengths in the front and rear, achieves ideal machine balance and produces sharp driving that responds to the driver's input.
