Lake Tinaroo or Tinaroo dam is in (FNQ) Far North Queensland Australia in the Danbulla National Park and State Forest and you can book a stay on the Queensland National Park website. Things you may do, bush walking tracks, swimming, paddle boarding, kayak or canoeing, skiing, fishing (BYO equipment) or just relaxation. The camping is all off grid and you need to supply your own fresh water for drinking and bring your own food, dry hard wood for a fire (YOU CAN NOT TAKE WOOD FROM FOREST) campfire restrictions (ONLY IN FIRE RINGS PROVIDED OR ELEVATED APROVED FIRE PITS) Tents, Caravans, Campers, Motor homes & Swags are all ways to camp here in nature. Toilet amenities are provided and are cleaned everyday (PLEASE USE THEM) there are no running water showers but you can bring solar or portable shower units and use the shower sheds provided. Genarators are only allowed in some areas and must be SILENCED (65 db @ 7mts) and only run in daylight hours. All camp showers, camp sinks, caravans, campers, motor homes, must all manage GREY WATER to avoid polluting the lake (100M BUFFER ZONE FROM WATER EDGE IS A NO LIQUID DISCHARGE AREA) Rubbish bins are located at all camp grounds near the entrance tracks to minimise smell, pests & feral animals or insects entering the camping areas. (FIRE PITS ARE NOT RUBBISH BINS) keeping the parks clean and tidy and respecting other campers, wildlife and the environment mean the parks will be open to injoy for years to come 🤠🇦🇺👍
