Máximo Carrizo (08) is one of the most impressive USA talents, youngest player ever to sign a pro contract in the MLS with only 14 but talent is undeniable, great bet by New York City FC. Ever since becoming pro, spent most of his time in the MLS Next Pro, gradually gaining more minutes, this has been his best year so for, showing a lot of growth and offensive production, establishing himself as a regular starter, even getting a call up to the bench with the senior team, all this with only 16. Half argentinian, clearly draws characteristics from Messi. Bright future.

Pros:
Low center of gravity with light bodyframe, most likely will stay on the shorter side of players even in adulthood
Can play on the right wing to make use of his terrific left foot to cut inside or as a attacking midfielder and explore tighter spaces with his technique and first touch
Doesn't have a "go to" off the ball movement, on the surface looks simple, varying between receiving wide to cut inside and inverting and look to receive in the half spaces but displays incredible movement efficiency and interpretation of the game, since his movement on the wing is tied to the wingback, also capable of leaving position to set up plays in more central areas
In the first stage of the build will drop and look to receive more centrally to help to destroy the press with his first touch/turning on the ball and quick passes
More suited to play on the right side, strong at cutting inside, offering a lot of options after performing movements (outside shot, chance creation, 1v1)
Good in between the lines play
First touch is superb, usage of body orientation and footwork to receive into open space, terrific with his back against the goal, doesn't give a chance to the opponents

Apart from the first touch will avoid to play with his right foot
Can get lazy while scanning which in his position is a major flaw, great reactions save him most of the time but will need to improve to get to the next level
