Sabaton- interview with Joakim Brodén @ MetalDays

Описание к видео Sabaton- interview with Joakim Brodén @ MetalDays

Sabaton is a heavy metal band from Falun, Sweden, formed in 1999.
It consists of five members- Joakim Brodén (vocals, keyboards), Pär Sundström (bass, backing vocals), Chris Rörland (guitar, backing vocals), Thobbe Englund (guitar, backing vocals) and Hannes van Dahl (drums).
The band's lyrical themes are based on war and historical battles.
The group has released seven studio albums with Heroes being the latest one (it was issued in 2014). Heroes proved to be a hit and made #1 on the official Swedish album chart.
Sabaton is known for developing a close relationship with their fans, which they often call friends rather than just fans. Their admirers bare many names, such as WolfPacks, Panzer Battalions, Saboteurs etc. They are very well organized and connected and often tend to look like band's own army. They come to concerts with flags, body armors, plastic riffle guns, good spirits and memorized lyrics. Without them the band would be unable to educate young (and old) people about the importance of history. This way, through music and with the help of their fans, they make history seem fun, interesting and easy. Over the years their fan base has been expanding rapidly.
We were lucky to have been able to catch up with Joakim Brodén on July 25th in Slovenia during MetalDays festival.
So far, during interviews, you were always given a chance to hear facts about Sabaton's music and their projects, but this time, we have decided to introduce you to a person; not just a musician. Joakim is an extremely intelligent, talkative and grounded man with an excellent sense of humor who has never suffered from „the big rockstar syndrome“; but instead; despite his fame, continued on being the normal, chatty guy whom everybody likes.
If you want to know more about his personality, most embarassing moments, his thoughts on groupies, relationships and much more, watch the video above.
