Islamabad High Court today accepted an application for submission of Supreme Court record relating to its human rights jurisdiction proceedings into murder of journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya in 2022. Senior journalist Hamid Mir has petitioned Islamabad High Court for constitution of a judicial commission to probe Sharif’s murder and the court was examining an office objection that the Supreme Court was already hearing the same matter and hence the high court shouldn’t hear this petition. #MJtv talks to lawyer of #hamidmir Advocate Shoaib Razzaq, also a family friend of slained journo Arshad Sharif, and asks him about government’s failure to investigate and judges’ failure to adjudicate in the matter so far.
