With her ultimate main character energy, Alex Consani is hardly worried about being digestible to the masses [and what do you really expect of a Leo?] From Vogue World to the couture runways, the rising talent has been a regular for names like Marc Jacobs, Versace, Ferragamo, and Alexander McQueen, bridging the gap between doting fashion insiders and her avid online fandom. The trailblazing American model and social media sensation has amassed an immense following on TikTok with almost 3 million followers, using her comedic timing, charisma, and striking presence to captivate audiences.

Initially starting her modeling journey in LA as a pre-teen, the Cali native relocated to New York City to attend university and pursue her modeling career with greater intensity. After signing with IMG in 2019, the sudden surge of the 2020 pandemic put a temporary pause on debut plans, and Consani turned to a then-burgeoning new platform, TikTok, to bring her wicked sense of humor to life. The result of her digital leap into the viral stratosphere was a 2021 runway debut at Tom Ford and subsequent runway appearances at Mugler, Simone Rocha, and Givenchy. Since that start, esteemed photographers like Mario Sorrenti, Ethan James Green, and Harley Weir have shot Consani for covers, editorials, and billboards alike.

What’s more, as a proud transgender woman and vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community she is a part of, Consani doesn’t shy away from opening up the conversation beyond her, understanding the power of using her platform to uplift others like model Aaron Rose Philip. Now, as the next generation of models aligns with the digital era, Consani is taking things to the next level with appearances in music videos for JT’s OKAY and Charli xcx’s smash hit and model heavy-casting 360. Shot by Willy Lukaitis in her favorite neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Models.com spoke with Consani about her early start in the business, her love for the runway, and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry.
