In Memoriam Malcolm Dome (1955 - 29 October 2021)

The passing of Malcom Dome, a giant of a rock journalist, rock historian, and human being comes as a great personal loss to us (writing here for myself, for Wendy posthumously and for the entire Wendy O. Williams and Plasmatics enterprise). Malcolm was a brilliant writer, historian, critic and trend setter that few can match, but he was way more to us, he was one of the greatest friends, and supporters that we ever had. In the trenches, he stood for us way ahead of the pack of the backwards thinking, sexist establishment that dominated the rock world for so many years. His intellect, wit, remarkable use of words, and depth of understanding remain unsurpassed today and while he often talked (rightly!) about Wendy’s charisma, his own was contagious. He was funny, challenging, uplifting and tremendously supportive and will forever be missed. One of a kind, old friend. RIP
