On a hot summer afternoon in Yangshuo, with the sun still strong, the walk begins in West Street — the town’s most famous promenade. Here, the air is filled with voices, music, and the scent of food drifting from the many cafés, restaurants, and shops that line the stone-paved street.

As we follow the West Street, the path opens onto the Li River, where the water reflects the dramatic karst peaks rising in the distance where people pose dressed in ancient costumes. After taking in the view, the walk turns back through smaller alleys and hidden corners, past stalls, markets, and local eateries, where the rhythm of daily life mixes with the charm of Yangshuo’s timeless scenery.
