From green pastures to high–tech production lines – this is the full journey of Abbott milk powder, from fresh cow’s milk on the farm to sealed cans on the shelf. 🐄🥛➡️🍼
In this video, we follow the milk from:
🌿 Abbott dairy farm – healthy Holstein cows grazing on clean, irrigated grass, health chips tracking their temperature, heart rate and milk yield.
🤖 Automatic milking system – gentle cleaning of udders, robotic milking arms, real–time data on every single cow. Fresh milk is cooled immediately to 4°C and tested for fat, protein and microbiology.
🚛 Cold-chain tanker transport – sealed stainless–steel tankers, temperature control, QR-tracked batches all the way to the factory gate.
🧪 Quality control lab – farm–level tests, factory–level tests, microbial checks and compositional checks before the milk is allowed into production.
⚙️ Standardization & Fortification – milk fat adjusted precisely, then blended with whey, proteins, vitamins and minerals to create Abbott’s nutrition formulas for different stages.
🔥 UHT/HTST sterilization – rapid heating and cooling to kill harmful bacteria while protecting nutrients and flavor.
🌫️ Evaporation & Spray Drying – milk is concentrated under vacuum, then turned into fine powder in a huge spray–drying tower, like “milk snow” falling inside the chamber.
❄️ Cooling & Powder Screening – powder cooled, sieved to remove large particles and checked for solubility, smooth texture and moisture level.
🥫 Can Filling & Seaming – cans cleaned with filtered air, filled to the exact gram, flushed with inert gas, then sealed with high–precision seams and metal detection.
🥄 Scoop, plastic lid & labeling – scoops added, plastic lids applied, full nutrition labels and QR codes wrapped around each can.
📦 Cartoning & Warehousing – cans packed in branded cartons, stacked on pallets, wrapped and stored in a clean, temperature–controlled warehouse ready for distribution.
🎯 This is a full factory tour that shows how technology, hygiene and quality control work together so that a spoon of milk powder in your baby’s bottle is safe and consistent every time.
