Black Hole Final day Alton Towers

Took this video during a special event at Alton Towers on 5 March 2005 for the closure of the Black Hole. The footage was taken on a handheld video camera so firstly apologies for the shakyness in places and for the loud shouting and howling on the ride!

The day started with dinner in the hospitality tent and a briefing from John Wardley and others. We then had 2 hours inside the Black Hole tent where we rode it in the dark, and then with the lights on. We then got to walk around the maintenance area and the ride itself.

Finally, we had a walk around the park and took a look at Rita being built. Shows a few areas and rides no longer in use, including the Corkscrew.
