CITI DOUBLE CASH CREDIT CARD REVIEW!

Описание к видео CITI DOUBLE CASH CREDIT CARD REVIEW!

The Citi Double Cash credit card is VERY well known as an easy-to-use cash back credit card with no annual fee. Click "Show More" to see Ad Disclosure.

That makes it one of the best credit cards for beginners (later in your first year after building with a secured credit card or other option) and also one of the best cash back credit cards you can use either as an all-in-one card, or to maximize your non-bonus spend (i.e. the things that don’t earn more than 1.0% - 1.5% cash back on other credit cards).

CITI DOUBLE CASH THANK YOU POINTS - CONVERTING
You can convert your cash back into points in the Citi rewards portal. You’d want to consider doing this if you like travel rewards AND also have the Citi Prestige Card and/or the Citi Premier Card. Those 2 premium credit cards will unlock the ability to use Citi Transfer Partners (i.e. convert your points into airline miles of other programs). In a way, this makes the Citi Double Cash Card function a lot like the Capital One Venture Card, which earns 2X miles on all purchases.

Avianca LifeMiles
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles

WHAT ARE CITI THANKYOU POINTS WORTH?
1.7¢ ea. toward Travel Via Transfer Partners (on average | 10,000 points = $170)
1.0¢ ea. toward Travel Via Citi ThankYou Portal (10,000 points = $100)
0.5¢ ea. for Cash Back (10,000 points = $50 | Exception: 1.0 ea. for Cash Back ONLY with Citi Prestige Card)

WHAT THIS ALL MEANS
Stay with Cash Back if you want cash back rewards
Convert to Citi ThankYou Points if you want travel rewards AND have Citi Premier Card and/or Citi Prestige Card

GOOD TO KNOW
You can apply for 1 Citi personal credit card every 8 days, up to 2 Citi personal credit cards every 65 days.

SHOULD YOU GET IT?

YES if you…
Prefer cash back rewards
Prefer travel rewards points AND have Citi Premier Card or Citi Prestige Card
Want a credit card with no annual fee
Want to maximize non-bonus spend
Want a credit card to build credit (over the long term as a keeper card)

NO if you…
Have another 2% cash back credit card
Prefer travel rewards but don’t want to add an annual fee credit card
Prefer travel rewards but don’t value Citi’s transfer partners

OTHER CARDS TO CONSIDER
A few other cash back credit cards to use alongside the Citi Double Cash include the Amex Blue Cash Everyday Card, either the Chase Freedom Unlimited or the Chase Freedom Flex, and the Bank of America Cash Rewards Card. If you want to travel the world for free, then the Capital One Venture credit card could be a good alternative too because you get access to a lot of airline transfer partners with just that one card alone.
